Pres. Boakai Consoles Supreme Leader of Iran…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has consoled the Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, for the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

A Foreign Ministry release issued on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, quotes President Boakai as saying he is saddened by the death of the two senior officials and six others.

In his message to the Iranian Supreme Leader, President Boakai extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Iran for the irreparable loss sustained.

President Joseph Boakai prayed that the Almighty Allah would grant Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the people of Iran the strength, courage, and fortitude as they go through this difficult period of National Mourning.
