MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemayah has received in two Letters of Credence from Ambassadors accredited to Liberia, from the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Republic of Korea.

Minister Kemayah, upon receiving the letters, recalled the relationship between Liberia and the Netherlands as far back as 1614, when the White Dog Ship landed on the Liberian Coast.

He added that the Netherlands was the first to recognize Liberia following independence in 1847, adding that the relationship between the two countries has grown from strength to strength, since.

At the same time, the Ambassador Designate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Jeroen Verheul, added that his Government will continue to maintain the strong ties that have existed between his country and Liberia.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador Designate of the Republic of Korea, Kim Young Chae, has pledged his Country’s unwavering support towards the growth and development of Liberia.

He assured Minister Kemayah as Ambassador accredited to Liberia, with residence in Abuja, he will work along with the Government in fostering development.
