Gambian Revenue Authority Ends Study Tour…..

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A delegation from the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) has ended a two-week intensive study tour at the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA).

The Gambian Delegation was headed by its Deputy Commissioner for Customs, Semi Sesi.

According to the LRA, the study tour is part of the longstanding partnership between the two revenue genera ting entities of both Governments.

It was characterized by experience sharing on custom administrations of the two countries, audit, risks management and local and international laws.

Speaking at the close of the program, LRA Commissioner for Custom, Saa Saamoi, thanked the Gambia Revenue Authority for choosing the LRA among competent Revenue Authorities in Africa for the study of the tour.

Commissioner Saamoi said:” While the decision by the Gambians to choose Liberia for the study tour is a demonstration of the African Spirit, the LRA has positioned itself a place of merit and competence, especially in custom.”

Speaking on behave of the Gambian Delegation, GRA Deputy Commissioner for Customs, Semi Sesi, thanked the LRA for accepting to share knowledge with its Gambian Counterpart.

Commissioner Sesi assured of putting into practice, the knowledge members of his delegation have acquired to improve the custom Post Clearance Audit at the Gambia Revenue Authority.
