Gov’t begins digitizing Work Permits for Aliens across Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia, through the Labor Ministry, is currently digitizing work permits for all aliens across the Country.

According to the Government, the process is an advance and secure way of collecting data for aliens and the specific jobs they do.

Labor Inspector General at the Labor Ministry, Eric Kpayeah, told ELBC on Thursday, December 1, 2022, that about fourteen teams are out in the field in Montserrado County carrying out awareness on the exercise.

Inspector Kpayeah said:” The digitization process targets aliens in business, concession companies and other areas to be identified soon.”

Also speaking, the Director for Aliens at the Labor Ministry, Edward Giddings, said:” Transitioning from digital has come with immense benefits.”

Director Giddings said the digitization will bring about organization and protection of data collected from the process.
