MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has hailed the Government and people of the United States for their continuous support to Liberia’s development drive.

President Weah is particularly pleased and described the US support to his Government as life-touching interventions.

The President expressed gratitude to the US Government for helping Liberia foster national development, youth empowerment, democratic governance and national reforms.

He spoke Thursday, March 31, 2022, at a USAID funded Youth Advance Project in Monrovia.

President Weah described youth empowerment as strategic to the overall growth and development of the Country, noting that Liberian youths are dear to his heart.

The Liberian Leader then urged the Youth and Sports Ministry to continue to demonstrate great commitment, to fostering Government’s Youth Transformative Change Agenda.

Also speaking at the program, Youth and Sports Minister, Zeogar Wilson, reaffirmed his Ministry’s commitment to transforming the lives of young people in the country.

Minister Wilson said:” With partner such as USAID, the Ministry is destined to meet such goal.”

According to him, the project will empower twenty-one-thousand youths in Montserrado, Lofa and Grand Gedeh Counties.

Young men and women active in the informal are the main target of the USAID funded project.

Minister Zeogar Wilson believes the Youth Advance Project echoes the cordial relationship between Liberia and Government and people and the United States.
