MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah says his Government will not condone perpetrators of Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV), regardless of whoever is involved.

Speaking Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at programs marking International Women’s Day at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, President Weah said women and girls must be protected from what he called predators of SGBV.

He vowed that perpetrators of SGBV will not go with impunity, under his watch as President.

The Liberian Leader is at the same time calling on citizens to redouble their efforts towards the promotion of women’s right and gender equality.

He said it is important for citizens to become as watchdogs and whistle blowers in reporting cases of abuse, especially against women and girls.

President Weah assured that more logistical support will be provided to the National Taskforce on SGBV, to allow it go after alleged perpetrators.

The Liberian Leader said he will do everything possible for women to achieve their full potentials under his administration.
