MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has dedicated several fully completed projects at Wells-Hairston High School in Central Monrovia.

ELBC Reporter said the projects were implemented by the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE), under the Special Presidential Project.

Following the dedication, President Weah urged students of his alma mater to remain resilient and steadfast in their pursuit for quality education.

President Weah said:” During my days at Wells-Hairston High School, I always knew that that nothing is impossible, if one believes and makes an effort.”

The Liberian Leader encouraged students to see their current challenges as stepping stone in order to make maximum use of opportunities at their disposal.

President Weah also thanked past and present administrators of the school, for helping to mold the minds of young people in a positive and transformative way.

Meanwhile, the Principal of Wells-Hairston High School, Michael Willie, has appreciated President George Weah for the projects.

Mr. Willie said:” It takes a leader like President Weah, after accomplishing such huge success from his high school days, to return and give back to the school.”

He said the facilities are meaningful projects which will go a long way in the history of the school.

Prior to the construction of the projects, Mr. Willie said the school lacked proper sanitation and a decent cafeteria for teachers and students.

Also speaking, the Student Council President, Victoria Tarpeh, described President Weah as a proud product of the school whose legacy and story continue to serve as motivation for them.
