Governance Commission calls for massive awareness on National Code of Conduct

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Officer – In – Charge of the Governance Commission, Elizabeth W. Dorkin wants massive awareness to be carried out on the national code of conduct.

Commissioner Dorkin said one of the ways the awareness can be done is through the Liberia Anti – Corruption Commission and other government functionaries.

Speaking Wednesday, August 18,2021, at a news conference in Monrovia, Commissioner Dorkin disclosed that members of the Board of Commissioners and senior staff of the Governance Commission have filed in their assets.

She also called for collective efforts by government officials to promote the asset declaration regime as it is vital to Liberia’s integrity system.

Assets declaration by state actors and civil servants in government is a mandatory procedure that is in line with the national code of conduct.

The Governance Commission as one of Liberia’s integrity institutions, it has set an example by ensuring that all commissioners declare their assets consistent with law.
