Chief Justice Korkpor Calls for Protection of the ‘Sacred’ Role of the Liberian Judiciary

Monrovia, Liberia – Chief Justice Francis Korkpor says the sanctity of the Judiciary must be upheld and protected at all times.

Chief Justice Korkpor said the rule of law is more dynamic and progressive, and as such legal practitioners must keep pace with the changes.

Justice Korkpor said whether public or private, violators of the rule of law must face appropriate penalties.

He was speaking Monday during the opening of a five-day National Judicial Conference at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town.

The conference is being held under the theme, ‘The law, Public Policy, and the Liberian Economy’.

Also speaking, Justice Minister Cllr. Musa Dean said the independence of the Judiciary is crucial to the maintenance of peace as contained in pillar three of the Pro-Poor Agenda.
