PAYNSVILLE, LIBRIA – Normal learning activities were Monday disrupted at the African Dream Academy, a school run by Montserrado District Six Representative, Samuel Enders in the Keneja community.

A group calling itself, the Movement for Accountability in District 6 staged a protest, demanding the District Representative Samuel Enders, to account for monies he has received on behalf of the district.

The group’s head Dennis Jarpah told ELBC that the recent report submitted to the district by the Lawmaker prompted their protest, as the report lacks reality.

Their presence in front of the African Dream Academy created fear among students and staff as well as parents who later gathered in number to ask them to leave.

This led to stone throwing between protesters and the parents causing several protesters to sustain injuries.

The parents said their action was to protect their children and the school facility, adding the school campus should not be used for protest to deny their kids’ education.

They told the protesters to take their issue with the Representative at the Capitol Building and not the School Campus.

Meanwhile, a group calling itself, Free Thinkers of Montserrado District Six, has paid tribute to Representative Samuel Enders for his numerous contributions towards education and development in the district.

The Chairman of the Free Thinkers of District Six, James Ford said the group has been moved by the many developments being undertaken in various communities by the lawmaker.

Mr. Ford said despite criticism from few people in the district, the Representative has been steadfast in championing the cause of his people.

receiving the honor, Representative Enders described the award as a huge motivation for him and his staff, as well as people of the district.

Representative Enders reacting to the protest, at the African Dream Academy said the turnout of parents demonstrates that the people have taken ownership of the school.
