GRAND CAPE MOUNT, LIBERIA-The Liberia Opportunities Industrialization Center (LOIC) in Grand Cape Mount County is said to be in a deplorable condition.

ELBC Correspondent said the situation is denying several youth in the County, particularly in Sinje, Garwula District, from acquiring basic vocational skills.

Our correspondent said the center has been providing learning opportunities to youth in the area, since its establishment in 2000 by a group known as the Economic Empowerment for Development.

The Manager of the LOIC, Grand Cape Mount County Branch, George Tombekai said:” Since 2018, the institution has been finding it difficult to get support for the upkeep of the facility.”

Mr. Tombekai is calling on Government to assist with the renovation of the building, to enable the management provide Technical and vocational education to the young people in the County.
