Pres. Weah recommits to connecting county capitals

BUCHANAN, GRAND BASSA COUNTY-President George Weah has reaffirmed his commitment toward connecting county capitals by paved roads.

President Weah was speaking Wednesday, April 22, 2021, when he dedicated the Buchanan Fairground Road on the third leg of his Nationwide Citizens Engagement Tour.

The 1.5 kilometer stretch is part of the Liberian Government Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP), through the National Road Fund of Liberia.

A Ministry of Public Works statement issued on Wednesday, April 21,2021, said the dedication further demonstrates that road connectivity remains the flagship agenda of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC)-led Administration.

In a related development, engineers from the Ministry of Public Works Ministry on the same Wednesday assessed the current status of the Benson River Bridge, ahead of its rehabilitation.

The Bridge connects the Grand Bassa County Community College to the main Buchanan City.
