Liberia finalizes revision contributions to UN Convention on Climate Change…

MONROVIA, Liberia – Liberia has finalized the revision of its second Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) for submission to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

It followed a two day technical review in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, organized by the Environment Protection Agency with support from the UNDP and Conservation International.

The submission of the NDC by Liberia to the UNFCCC is to seek funding to mitigate is in fulfillment of the Paris Climate Change Agreement of 2015,

EPA Manager for Multilateral Environmental Agreements, Jefferson Nyenebo expressed satisfaction over the validation process and encouraged the various stakeholders to work towards the realization of its goal.
