All set for AstraZeneca Vaccine administration-Health Minister Jallah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Minister of Health, Wilhelmina Jallah says all is now set to begin the administration of the AstraZeneca Vaccine in Liberia.

Dr. Jallah, however, wants feedbacks from Liberians upon receiving the COVID-19 AstraZeneca Vaccine to help researchers have more insights on the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Speaking at the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs and Tourism (MICAT) press briefing in Monrovia Thursday, April 1, 2021, Dr. Jallah named health workers, old folks, persons with poor health and key Government stakeholders as the first batch of people expected to be vaccinated.

Minister Jallah then called on Liberians not panic regarding the administration of the vaccine, as research has proven that the vaccine is safe.

She said:” The vaccine will be administered at eight health centers, including the John F. Kennedy Medical Center, the Redemption, ELWA and Catholic Hospitals, among others.”
