House of Rep. reviews bill seeking to grant Nimba County Com. College university status

MONROVIA, LIB ERIA -The House of Representatives has mandated its Education, Judiciary and Ways and Means Committees to review a bill seeking to grant Nimba County Community College a University Status.

According to ELBC Judicial Reporter, plenary’s decision on Thursday, February 25, 2021, followed a communication from Nimba County Legislative Caucus.

The Nimba County Caucus informed Plenary that it has applied to the National Commission on Higher Education for elevation of the institution to a full-degree granting institution.

They added that the College’s Administration, along with other stakeholders, have worked with the National Commission on Higher Education to determine the preparedness of the College.

Meanwhile, the three committees are expected to report within two weeks.
