Pres. Weah’s administration considers roads connectivity as flagship agenda

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has reaffirmed that road connectivity remains the flagship agenda of his government.

He said road connectivity is a major catalyst for national development, stressing that it is important that all of the fifteen counties be interconnected by modern roads.

He said five-hundred kilometers of primary roads across Liberia have been earmarked under the road project.

The Liberian Leader said in fulfillment of this, sixty-six kilometers of primary roads have completed, while additional three-hundred-sixty-five km of roads are ongoing.

President Weah named the Harper to Karloken and Harper to Cavalla River as completed roads.

He further named sixty-seven Km Ganta to Yekepa Road, forty-seven Km Sanniquellie to Loguatuo Road, Eighty Km Gbarnga to Salayea Road and Karloken to Fish Town Roads, among others.

Concerning the current state of the Nation, the President Weah said the Nation is stable and peaceful.

Delivering his Fourth Annual Message on Monday, January 25, 2021, before the Joint Session of the National Legislature at the Capitol, President Weah lauded Liberians and partners for their unflinching support to the maintenance of peace and stability in the Country.

The President also pledged Government’s commitment to sustaining the Country’s democracy, making reference to the peaceful conduct of the December 8, 2020, Special Senatorial Election.

He said over the past three years, Government has created conducive environment for all Liberians to fully participate in the Country’s democratic process, irrespective of their political, social and religious beliefs.
