House of Rep. mandates committees to review bill……

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives has mandated the Education and Ways and Means Committees to review a bill seeking to create a Special Education Scheme in Liberia.

According to ELBC Reporter, the decision of Plenary of the House of Representatives followed the submission of the bill Thursday, January 14, 2021, by Montserrado County District Number Five Representative Thomas Fallah.

Representative Fallah said:” The bill will allow the Government of Liberia find its free tuition to public schools and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) fees, for junior and senior high private and public schools.

He said:” The move will buttress President George Weah’s gesture, due to the economic challenges parents and students go through in pursuit of education.”

Meanwhile, the committees are expected to report within two weeks.
