Nimba County Health Team registered over 300 children

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Nimba County Health Team has carried out birth registration for over three hundred-fifty children in the County.

The children are between the ages of zero to twelve years old.

According to ELBC Nimba County Correspondent, the recent process is part of Government’s Decentralization Program, to reduce difficulties being faced by Liberians in obtaining legal documents.

ELBC Upper Nimba County Correspondent quotes the Director of the Nimba County Birth Registration, Anthony Tokpa, as saying the exercise is key in establishing the child or children’s identity.

Mr. Tokpa disclosed that the program is also being used to sensitize parents, and meeting the 2020 target to register twenty-six-thousand-three-hundred-thirty-four children.
