GBARPOLU, COUNTY(Al- Bowier Reports) – A team of Government delegation has arrived in Gbarpolu County to reinforce revenue collection in the County.

The team comprises of representatives from the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) and the Ministry of Transport is in the County following reports of unrestricted revenue collection without accountability.

The reports also alleged that several government functionaries in Gbarpolu County are collecting money without remitting the funds to Central Government.

ELBC Gbarpolu County Correspondent, Elvis Gono, quotes the LRA Team as saying its mission to the County is to create awareness on Government’s revenue collection process.

The process is being carried out in Gbarma, Bokomu and Bopolu Districts to educate and encourage the residents to pay their taxes to the appropriate revenue collection agency of Government.
