MONROVIA, LIBERIA (Fabine Kwah Reports) – The Chief Judge of the Commercial Court, Judge Eva Mappy Morgan, has been elected as President of the National Trial Judges of Liberia.
Judge Morgan, in a tight race, defeated her female colleague, Judge Nancy Sammy, 103 votes to 93, to lead the association for the next three years.
Those elected are Judge Schaeplor Dunbar, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President Magistrate James Kaba, Magistrate Ben Barco as General Secretary and Daniel Dokokelek, assistant sec general, both won on white ballot.
Magistrate Mulbah Harris won on white ballot as Treasurer, while Magistrate Nelson Chineh emerged as Chaplain.
The occasion brought over three hundred Magistrates and Judges, who participated in the event at the Temple of Justice.
