University of Liberia Postpones 106th Graduation Ceremony

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The University of Liberia (UL) has announced the postponement of its 106th graduation ceremony, earlier scheduled for December.

The UL Administration attributed the decision to ongoing renovations and other challenges confronting the State-run University.

At a news conference on Wednesday, October 22, 2026, the President of the University of Liberia, Layli Maparyan, said,” The University is working to ensure that students who have completed all academic requirements receive their diplomas”.

Dr. Maparyan said this will allow graduating students to pursue employment and other opportunities without further delay.

She added that eligible graduates will have the opportunity to participate in the University’s official commencement ceremony when it is held in the future.

Meanwhile, Dr. Layli Maparyan has disclosed that ongoing renovation and modernization projects across the University campuses are expected to be completed by March 31, 2027.
