Rt. Supreme Court Marshal Cautions against Influx of Burkinabe Nationals in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A Rt. Marshal of the Supreme Court of Liberia has expressed grave concern over the unrestricted influx of Burkinabe nationals into Liberia.

Rt. Marshal Amos Dixon warned that the huge presence of undocumented Burkinabe nationals is worrisome and requires the government’s swift intervention in the interest of national security.

In an ELBC interview on Saturday, October 17, 2026, Dixon said” The undocumented Burkinabe nationals are predominantly occupying huge land space in Southern Liberia”.

He called on relevant government institutions to ensure that Burkinabe and other nationals within Liberia’s territorial confines are documented.

He argued that allowing the influx of foreign nationals, especially Burkinabe, without duly undergoing the routine processes consistent with Liberian laws is not in the best interest of Liberia and Liberians.
