MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia’s Acting Solicitor General, Abraham Sillah, says a person does not have to physically handle drugs to face a conspiracy charge.
Cllr. Sillah made the statement while explaining the $370 million cocaine indictment at the Ministry of Information regular press briefing on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
He said conspiracy involves an agreement to commit a crime.
The Acting Solicitor General noted that all members of an alleged criminal operation do not have to meet in one place, noting that some people may play different roles in an alleged drug operation, while others may not physically import, possess, or export the drugs.
Cllr. Abraham Sillah added that the Liberian government will present its evidence in court and allow the judicial process to determine the outcome.
