Over 40 Businesses Shut Down in River Gee County

RIVER GEE COUNTY, LIBERIA-More than forty businesses in River Gee County have been shut down by the Commerce Ministry for reportedly violating Liberia’s Business Registration Regulations.

The inspection and closure exercise was carried out by the Ministry’s Inspector General, Maintor Gbantu, as part of an ongoing inspection of business registration documents across the country.

According to our correspondent, several businesses were operating without valid business registration certificates, while others were found with expired registration documents.

Our correspondent said the inspection is expected to continue to other parts of River Gee County in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the Commerce Ministry is encouraging all businesses across Liberia to register or renew their expired certificates to avoid being shut down or fined.
