MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Executive Mansion has relieved Justice Minister, Cllr. Oswald Tweh and Solicitor General, Cllr. Augustine Fayiah from their respective positions.

 The move was executed by President Joseph Boakai late Wednesday evening, September 2, 2026.

The Liberian Leader has since appointed Cllr. Betty Lamine Blamoh as the new Minister of Justice and Cllr. Abraham Sillah as the new Solicitor General.

Cllr. Blamoh is a former Solicitor General of Liberia and an experienced prosecutor, while Cllr. Sillah, a former Public Defender, is the current Vice President of the Liberia National Bar Association.

President Boakai also made appointments at the Ministries of Local Government and Gender, as well as the Public Procurement and Concession Commission and the National Transit Authority.

According to the release, these appointments are part of President Boakai’s ongoing efforts to strengthen key institutions of Government and enhance the effective delivery of public services.

Meanwhile, the Executive Mansion said former Justice Minister, Cllr. Oswald Tweh and Solicitor General, Cllr. Augustine Fayiah will be reassigned to other roles in government.
