MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Management of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) has described the death of employee Charles Johnson as a great loss to the entity and the country.
The LBS Management said: Charles Johnson, before his death, played a pivotal role in the effective operations of the media institution”.
Speaking in a brief interview on Thursday, August 20, 2026, LBS Director General, Eugene Fahngon, underscored the massive impact the death of Mr. Johnson will continue to have on the entity for decades to come.
He described the late LBS employee as an obedient, hardworking, and determined man, whose contributions to the nation and institution will be missed.
On behalf of the Management, Fahngon conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family, praying that God will console them during this difficult period.
Meanwhile, several of his colleagues have expressed shock over the sudden death of Charles Johnson, whom they described as a down-to- earth colleague, friend, and workmate.
