Pres. Boakai Stresses Govt’s Desire to Invest in Tourism Sector

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reiterated the Government of Liberia’s desire to fully invest in the Tourism Sector of the country.

President Boakai said,” My administration remains committed to also ensuring that Liberia’s Tourism Industry continues to thrive”.

The Liberian Leader committed on Monday, August 17, 2026, in Monrovia, during the groundbreaking ceremony for the remodeling and development of Providence Island.

The project, which will be implemented by the Liberia National Tourism Authority (LNTA), is expected to be completed in the coming years.

With funding from the government of Liberia, the project aims to restore Liberia’s tourism sector to its pre-war status.

President Joseph Boakai believes that the project, which is part of the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID), will attract investments and support local businesses.
