MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Business Registry 2026 Digitization and Decentralization Project has been launched in Grand Bassa County.
The project was launched by the Registry, in collaboration with the Commerce Ministry, aiming to make business registration and related services more accessible, efficient, and convenient for entrepreneurs across Liberia.
The initiative is expected to reduce challenges associated with traveling to Monrovia to access business registration services while promoting a more modern, technology-driven system for formalizing businesses.
Speaking at the launch, Commerce Minister Magdalene Dagoseh emphasized the importance of collaboration among government institutions, the private sector, local authorities, and entrepreneurs to ensure the success of the initiative.
Minister Dagoseh said,” The project represents a broader effort to improve Liberia’s business environment and create a more responsive public service delivery system”.
Meanwhile, Commerce Minister Magdalene Dagoseh has paid a visit to the Port of Buchanan as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and promote a productive working relationship.
During the visit, Minister Dagoseh engaged with port officials and other key stakeholders on matters relating to commerce, trade, port operations, and the smooth movement of goods through the Port of Buchanan.
She emphasized the importance of cooperation, professionalism, accountability, and effective coordination among institutions working at the port.
The commerce minister noted that maintaining strong working relationships is essential to improving efficiency and supporting Liberia’s economic and commercial activities.
She also underscored the importance of ensuring the Port of Buchanan continues to play a meaningful role in the economic development of Grand Bassa County and Liberia as a whole.
