Pres. Boakai Restates Govt’s Stance against Illicit Drug Trafficking…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reiterated the Government’s stance against drug trafficking and transnational crimes.

 President Boakai said:” His administration will continue to remain vigilant in ensuring Liberia becomes a drug-free country and a respecter of international laws”.

According to him, despite the challenges and public sentiments, his government will remain firm in dismantling drug cartels across the country.

The Liberian Leader lauded the efforts of the Joint Security Team in leading steps to address the growing wave of drug trafficking, but warned them against all forms of intimidation or threats.

The President also re-emphasized the importance of border security and protection.

He spoke on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in Monrovia during the 23rd Cabinet Meeting on the grounds of the Executive Mansion.
