MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has highlighted substantial progress in key sectors of the Government of Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID).

President Boakai named improved infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other thematic areas of Liberia’s governance process.

The Liberian Leader also re-emphasized the importance of collective effort in reducing poverty and achieving inclusive development.

The Chief Executive, at the same time, stressed the need for transparency, accountability, and timely reporting from all sectors, including the Private Sector and civil society.

The Liberian Leader was speaking on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the National Steering Committee Meeting in Monrovia, intended to review progress made in the implementation of the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.

At the same time, Finance and Development Planning Minister Augustine Ngafuan says the government remains on track towards achieving the projected 1.3 billion US Dollar National Budget.

The finance minister attributed this latest development to growth in the GDP, decrease in inflation rates, and the strengthening of domestic resource mobilization.

According to Minister Ngafuan, Liberia’s GDP increased from 4% in 2024 to 5.1% in 2025, with a projected increase of 5.5% in 2026.

The finance minister said: “Beyond macroeconomic performance, the country is experiencing growth in strengthening public investment and budget execution, while enhancing planning and monetary frameworks”.

Finance Minister Augustine Ngafuan also called for stronger coordination, effective budget preparation and execution, and timely reporting mechanisms that align with the AAID.
