MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reiterated his administration’s commitment to upholding and strengthening the rule of law, as enshrined in the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.

According to him, the government of Liberia will also endeavor to build a Justice System that is credible, efficient, and accessible to every Liberian, regardless of status, wealth, or political affiliation.

President Boakai made the remarks on Thursday, August 6, 2026, during the commissioning ceremony of several Marshals and judges in Monrovia.

The Liberian Chief Executive charged the newly commissioned judges and marshals to execute their duties and functions in line with the Constitution of Liberia.

President Boakai also cautioned them to fully perform their work with fairness, impartiality, integrity, and utmost professionalism in recognition of the values and principles of the Judicial branch of government.

At the same time, the Liberian Chief Executive has expressed deep appreciation to members of the Joint Security Taskforce for exercising exceptional courage, professionalism, and unwavering devotion to national duty.

He also commended the Joint Security Taskforce for their selfless dedication towards the fight against the proliferation of illegal drugs, organized crimes, corruption, and other criminal activities across Liberia.

According to him, the proliferation of illegal drugs and substances is a direct attack on Liberia’s future, emphasizing the need for robust and practical steps to be instituted to curtail the menace.

According to him, the presence of these illegal substances in Liberia has the propensity to threaten the country’s youth, undermine legitimate businesses, and compromise national security.

The Liberian Leader reaffirmed the government’s unflinching dedication to eliminating all threats posed by the proliferation of illegal drugs and criminal activities, stressing that Liberia will not be used as a haven for illegal activities.
