MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has dedicated the Saint John River Event Hall located at the outskirts of Buchanan City, in Grand Bassa County.
The President’s visit is in honor of Liberia’s 179th Independence Anniversary celebrations in that county.
Upon his arrival on Thursday, July 23, 2026, President Boakai dedicated the facility upon his arrival on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
The Event Hall was constructed by a prominent son of the county, Emmanuel Reeves, based in the United States.
During the brief ceremony, the Liberian Leader praised Reeves for his farsightedness and encouraged other citizens to follow suit.
The Liberian Leader admonished citizens of Grand Bassa County to prioritize development over self-interest influenced by political interference.
According to reports, President Joseph Boakai has also dedicated the furnished Superintendent Compound and the Rest Shop in the county.
