Liberian Senate Adjourns for 2nd Constituency Break

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Senate has adjourned for its second constituency break of the year.

The adjournment followed months of deliberations on critical national issues, including the passage of crucial legislation.

During the closing session, Senate Pro-Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence mandated the Committee on Ways, Means, Finance and Budget to investigate Liberia Traffic Management Incorporated to establish the government’s share of the revenues.

While on break, the Senate leadership is expected to compile all pending legislative instruments and communications with the Executive for action.

Members of the Senate are expected to return from their constituency break in October of this year.
