MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has held a successful consultative meeting with the leadership of the Liberian Senate at his Rehab Community Office in Paynesville City.
An Executive Mansion release said the meeting was focused on strengthening collaboration between the Presidency and the Liberian Senate in advancing national priorities.
According to the release, discussions at the meeting also covered key issues of governance, national development, national security, and the importance of sustained dialogue between the Executive and Legislative branches of government.
President Boakai and members of the Liberian Senate leadership agreed to maintain regular engagement and continue working together on matters that promote peace, stability, and the welfare of the Liberian people.
The release named Vice President Jeremiah Koung, Senate Pro-Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, Montserrado County Senator Darius Dillon, and Bomi County Senator Alex Tyler as some officials of the Senate’s leadership who attended the meeting.
From the Executive branch of government, the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Samuel Stevquoah, Justice Minister Oswald Tweh, and Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah, respectively, were among several officials who formed part of the consultative discussions.
