MONROVIA, LIBERIA- The Muslim leaders in Grand Cape Mount County have praised Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti for supporting Liberia’s Hajj program and assisting vulnerable communities.
Speaking during a welcome ceremony for about sixty returning pilgrims in Tienii, Tewor District, Chief Imam Ali Krayee said Minister Nyanti’s contributions extend beyond the Hajj pilgrimage.
Citing support to widows, vulnerable people, and community water projects in Gbarpolu, Tewor, and Bokomu districts.
The Imam noted that many of the projects were completed without public ceremonies, describing the Minister’s approach as one of quiet service rather than public recognition.
At the same time, Liberia’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed Dukuly, says efforts are underway to revive plans for the construction of an Islamic University and two Islamic centers in Liberia.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Dukuly also highlighted the country’s tourism and development potential, describing Robertsport as a national treasure.
Meanwhile, receiving appreciation gifts on behalf of Foreign Minister Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Chief of Office Staff Sarah Kabah Jones thanked the Muslim community and encouraged the returning pilgrims to uphold the values of peace, humility, and service to others after completing the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
