Gov. to Break Grounds for the Vai Town to Freeport Road Expansion Project……

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai is expected to break ground for the Japan Freeway expansion project on Friday, July 3.

Speaking at the Ministry of Information News Conference Tuesday, Deputy Information Minister Daniel Sando said that through the Grant Aid of the Japanese Government, Liberia continues to benefit from critical infrastructure investments that strengthen the country’s transport system.

According to him, construction of the 1.9-kilometer road linking the Freeport of Monrovia to Johnson Street is expected to take about 26 months.

He said the project will reduce traffic congestion, improve transportation, and address flooding along the corridor.
