MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Ministry of Health and Its Partners have submitted the proposed Liberia Health Equity Fund for Universal Health Coverage bill to President Joseph Boakai for endorsement.
The bill, when endorsed by the President and the Cabinet, will be forwarded to the legislature for enactment.
Presenting the draft bill to the Liberian Leader on Monday in Monrovia, Health Minister, Dr. Louise Kpoto, said the bill is a significant milestone in addressing the country’s pressing health challenges.
Madam Kpoto believes that with the President’s endorsement and subsequent enactment by the Legislature, the document will serve as a roadmap for improving Liberia’s health outcomes in the coming years.
The Health Minister highlighted the crucial impact of the bill in mitigating future health challenges, while allocating the necessary funding for the sustenance of the bill.
