MONROVIA, LIBERIA- More than twenty thousand people in three towns in District # 1, Rivercess County, are to shortly benefit from telecommunication connectivity.
It followed the commencement of the construction of three communication towers by Orange Liberia.
The Orange towers are being constructed in Bahn, Bodowhea, and Bluewor towns.
The construction of the towers comes after citizens of the areas, there and in Monrovia, headed by Rev. Timothy Kpeh, engaged the management of Orange Liberia to ensure telecommunication access reaches the areas.
“We want to use this opportunity to commend Orange Liberia for the level of work done so far in our county, to be specific, Rivercess District One.” Rev. Kpeh said in an interview with ELBC.
Rev. Kpeh noted that the area has, for too long, lacked telecommunication connectivity, something he said leaves citizens with no option but to walk long distances or seek elevated grounds before making a phone call.
He described the move by Orange Liberia as a significant investment that represents a major step toward improving communication, connectivity, and economic opportunities for the people of Rivercess County, particularly those residing in previously underserved and hard-to-reach communities.
“The construction of these three towers will greatly enhance communication services, strengthen local businesses, support educational opportunities, and improve access to information for our people,” Rev. Kpeh noted.
He encouraged Orange Liberia to continue expanding its services across Rivercess County and other rural parts of Liberia, emphasizing that increased digital connectivity is essential to national growth and inclusive development.
Rev. Kpeh added: “This achievement demonstrates what is possible when private sector institutions partner with communities to advance development. We look forward to continued collaboration that improves the lives of our citizens and accelerates progress in Rivercess County.”
He called upon community leaders and residents to support and protect the telecommunications infrastructure, recognizing it as a valuable public asset that will benefit present and future generations.
Rev. Kpeh concluded by reaffirming his commitment to advocating for improved infrastructure, education, healthcare, roads, telecommunications, and economic opportunities for the people of District Number One in Rivercess County.
Rev. Timothy Kpeh is a long-time advocate for clean and safe drinking water, education, transparency, development, and social justice.
