Local Gov. Minister Calls on Lofians to Unite…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Minister of Local Government and a prominent son of Lofa County, Francis Nyumalin, is calling on Lofians to unite and work for the general development of the County.

Minister Nyumalin said, Despite the peaceful co-existence of several tribes in Lofa, the infrastructure development of the county remains elusive”.

Speaking at a gathering of Lofians, particularly the Lorma tribe, at the weekend in Paynesville, Minister Nyumalin called on Lofians residing outside the county to return home and invest in building modern homes, businesses and other infrastructure.

He said, Lofians need to hold together to improve the underdevelopment of the county, especially at a time when a son of the county is serving as President of Liberia”.

The Minister of Local Government dismissed the notion that the President should appoint only Lofians in government positions to develop the county.
