MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Transit Authority (NTA) Managing Director Edmund Forh says the Authority will expand its transport services to additional counties after completing one year of operations on the southeastern route.
MD Forh made the statement during the NTA’s anniversary celebration in Monrovia, where he thanked passengers for their confidence in the Authority.
He said the NTA will continue improving service delivery through public feedback and accountability.
The NTA launched the southeastern route on July 25, 2025, serving Grand Gedeh, River Gee, Maryland, and neighboring counties.
The Authority recorded 169 trips during the first year, transporting 12,461 passengers, while 983 children benefited from the Free Rider Policy.
Meanwhile, passengers praised President Joseph Boakai and the NTA for reducing transportation costs and improving access to travel in the Southeast.
