MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-More than fifty alumni of the Emerging Public Leaders from Ghana, Malawi, Sierra Leone, and Liberia have begun advancing key strategies to accelerate good governance in Africa.
They are also brainstorming on policies key to fostering ethical, skilled, and citizen-centric civil servants on the African continent.
At the start of the two-day gathering on Tuesday, May 2, 2026, in Lower Margibi County, the Executive Director of the President’s Young Professionals, Ciata Stevens-d’Almeida, called for a holistic approach in tackling challenges in Africa.
According to her, for too long, Africa has faced governance and accountability issues; as such, it is time for emerging public leaders to scale up efforts in addressing these challenges.
She wants participants in the emerging public leaders gathering to deliberate on critical policies that will shift Africa’s governance system and build a new generation rooted in integrity.
