General Auditing Commission Remains Unbending in Fostering Transparency, Accountability in Governance System

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The General Auditing Commission (GAC) says it remains unbending in fostering transparency and accountability in Liberia’s governance system.

Liberia’s Auditor General, Garswah Jackson, said:” Such commitment is rooted in the recent resolution signed at the 22nd Afrosal-E Governing Board meeting, to support the workings of audit institutions in Africa”.

In an ELBC interview over the weekend in Lower Margibi County, Jackson described the event as crucial to the advancement of governance in Liberia.

Jackson thanked participating guests of the conference for selecting Liberia, while pledging the country’s commitment to full implementation of the outcomes of the event.

The 22nd Afrosal-E Governing Board meeting was attended by more than twenty auditors general from English and Portuguese-speaking countries.
