MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Education Minister, Dr. Jarso Jallah, has assured students that their voices will shape national education policies and leadership reforms.
Speaking on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the National Student Symposium in Congo Town, Dr. Jallah emphasized listening to students as partners.
She disclosed ongoing investments, including the procurement of nearly one million dollars’ worth of STEM materials for secondary schools.
Dr. Jallah also revealed that fifty laboratories are being equipped, while over three hundred computers were deployed nationwide.
She urged student leaders to safeguard educational resources and produce actionable recommendations to strengthen Liberia’s education system nationwide.
Earlier, the Economic Development Entrepreneurship Strategist of African Nations, Alloune Badara Kane, urged Liberian students to think big and drive national development efforts.
Kane emphasized human capital development and encouraged students to become producers instead of consumers, highlighting opportunities across Liberia’s primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors.
He stressed that success demands sacrifice, resilience, and determination, noting that hard work remains the true price of achievement.
The Economic Development Entrepreneurship Strategist of African Nations also requested the students to adopt entrepreneurial mindsets, become employers, and actively contribute to Liberia’s long-term prosperity.
