APM Terminals-Liberia, Global Logistics Services Group to Dev. First Export Processing Center in Monrovia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The APM Terminals-Liberia, in collaboration with Global Logistics Services Group, is poised to develop Liberia’s first Export Processing Center.

The project is centered in the Freeport of Monrovia.

According to an APM Terminals-Liberia release, the facility will improve ways Liberian goods are prepared and shipped to international markets.

The Center is expected to serve as a central hub for cargo consolidation, clearance, and completion of documentation to enable small and medium-sized Liberian enterprises to access global markets.

The Managing Director of AMP Terminals-Liberia, Rachid Baho, said,” The initiative will remove longstanding bottlenecks in the export chain, and strengthen the port as a reliable gateway for Liberian trade”.

The partnership between Global Logistics Services Group and APM Terminals-Liberia was announced during the Liberia-EU Business Forum in Brussels recently.

Both companies will support job creation and strengthen Liberia’s growing trade relationship with the European Union.
