LISCR FC and FC Fassell were humiliated to back-to-back defeats at the weekend in the chase for the crown in the LFA 1st division league.
LISCR FC at the weekend suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of struggling Borough FC at the D-Tweh Field in the Borough of New Kru Town.
That win pushes Borough FC eight points above the relegation zone, but LISCR FC are still holding on to their first-place spot, but only two points separate them and Bea Mountain.
Bea Mountain on Sunday continue their fine form, beating FC Fassell 1-0 in a tension park fixture to overtook the soccer missionaries in second place.
Fassell slipped down to 4th place, after Watanga FC managed a 0-0 draw against Paynesville FC to climb in 3rd.
Relegation threatened Freeport FC proved too strong in their 3-1 victory over Wologisi FC at the Tusa field.
That result moves Wologisi close to the danger zone, that’s in 10th place on the table.
Down Town FC fought LPRC Oilers to a 3-3, while Discoveries SA whipped Gardnerville FC.
In the LFA 2nd division, Shaita FC are back at the top of the table after a hard fought 1-0 victory over Wein Town FC at the Weekend at the UNT stadium.
That win couple with District 17 Academy’s 2-1 defeat to Samira was enough to hand Shaita to the spot on 41 points, that’s one over District 17 Academy.
Mighty Barrolle collected a point in the last three matches at the weekend with a 1-1 draw free scoring Golden Dream.
IE for their part missed all the chances only to draw 0-0 with Susa FC.
