Police Inspector General Says Former Police Spokesperson Clarke Remains Member of the Police

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Inspector General of the Liberia National Police, Col. Gregory Coleman, said the former Police Spokesperson, Cecelia Clarke, is still a member of the Liberia National Police.

A few days ago, the former police spokesperson publicly announced her resignation, citing several issues, including workplace discrimination, among others.

But speaking to reporters, IG Coleman said,” The LNP is a paramilitary organization, noting that there are set protocols for resignation”.

He noted that the former spokesperson has only declared her intention to resign but has not officially done so.

IG Coleman also described the former police person is fine officer who contributed immensely to the Liberia National Police.
