21-Year-Old Woman Gang-Raped in Kozemen Town, Lofa County

LOFA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Five suspects have been charged and forwarded to court for allegedly gang-raping a twenty-one-year-old woman in Kozemen Town, Lofa County.

The incident occurred during the early hours of January 3 in Kozemen Town, Lofa County.

According to the ELBC Upper Lofa County Correspondent, four of the five suspects denied the act, while one admitted to the commission of the crime.

The survivor stated that the suspects forcibly took her to a room where the act was allegedly committed.

The suspects will face prosecution at the 10th Judicial Circuit Court in Voinjama, after a medical report revealed that the victim had been tampered with.

Meanwhile, the survivor is currently undergoing treatment.
