Liberia Revenue Authority Craves Executive’s Intervention to Ensure It gets Incentives…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) is craving the intervention of the Executive to ensure the entity gets its incentives for surpassing the threshold of both the 2024- 2025 National Budget.

The LRA Commissioner General, Dorbor Jallah, said,” The Act establishing the LRA charged the Liberian Government to provide the revenue house certain incentives whenever it surpasses the targeted budget”.

Commissioner Jallah told a news conference recently in Paynesville that, for the past two budget years, the government, through the Ministry of Finance, has yet to adhere to such a mandate.

The LRA Commissioner General said the delay in providing the incentives could demotivate LRA employees in the discharge of their duties.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Jallah has vowed to continue engaging the Finance Ministry and relevant stakeholders to ensure the LRA gets its incentives to foster effective revenue mobilization.
