U.S Gov. Hands over 40-thousand Monkey Pox Vaccines to Liberia…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The United States Government has described the handling over of more than forty thousand Monkeypox Vaccines to Liberia as an important step in the US-Liberia health partnership.

A statement from the U.S Embassy said,” The delivery strengthens Liberia’s ability to respond to rising Monkey Pox cases and supports vaccination efforts for contacts and at-risk populations”.

The vaccines were provided with technical support from the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, working closely with the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL).

The U.S Government is also committed to supporting Liberia in advancing health security through accountable, results-driven cooperation.

Meanwhile, the U.S Government has commended Liberia’s health professionals and partners for their leadership and frontline work.
