Pres. Boakai Recommits Gov. to Supporting Transco CLSG

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has recommitted the Government of Liberia to supporting the CLSG’s continued growth and success.

President Boakai committed on Monday, November 10, 2025, when he received a high-level delegation from Transco CLSG at the Executive Mansion in Monrovia.

Transco CLSG is the regional electricity transmission company that connects Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea.

The Liberian Leader expressed his appreciation to the delegation for their visit and underscored Liberia’s interest in regional cooperation in the Energy Sector.

He lauded the CLSG initiative as a testament to African nations taking ownership of critical infrastructure to drive their collective development.

The four-member delegation was led by Jiba Yilla, Acting General Manager of Transco CLSG, and accompanied by the Managing Director of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), Mohammed Sheriff.

In his briefing, Yilla praised Liberia’s outstanding role within the CLSG framework, describing Liberia as the project’s best customer.

Jiba Yilla highlighted Liberia as a success story for the region, noting that the Government of Liberia, through the LEC, has demonstrated consistent progress and reliability in its partnership with Transco CLSG.
